Meet the Team


Over the years, FEI trainers Adam Lastowka and Roel Theunissen have developed a solid reputation of being accessible for all types of riders. From amateurs to training "the trainers", they are both well respected and sincerely interested in helping anyone to improve their riding, progress their horse and reach their goals.

Roel Theunissen is a Dutch certified dressage trainer who moved to the USA in 1996. Since the years he has been in the US, Roel has brought numerous horses and riders along and helped many to receive their USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals.

As an international dressage trainer, Roel has coached students at the USDF/USEF National Championships, FEI Young Horse Championships, Pan Am Games and FEI World Cups. He is a member of The International Dressage Trainers Club and an experienced and articulate clinician. As the President of Atlanta Dressage LLC, Roel makes coaching, training, clinics and horse sales his daily focus.

Adam Lastowka is a 5-star rated dressage trainer with an impressive background in multiple equestrian disciplines. Adam moved to GA in 2004 and operated the beautiful After the Fox Farm in Madison. He has shown numerous horses at the FEI level and continues to develop dressage prospects.

Adam has worked with Robert Dover, Kathy Connelly and Henk van Bergen. As a teacher, his infectious personality brings humor to the riding arena while remaining serious enough to make sure his students reach their goals. With his well-trained, precise eye for spotting a good dressage horse, Adam has been very successful finding students and clients the right horse.


Ashley Marascalco

Ashley Marascalco joined the team at Atlanta Dressage when we opened our doors and has quickly proved herself to be a valuable asset, bringing much success to the barn. Ashley owns and operates ANM Dressage and is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist.

Formally the Young Horse Trainer at High Valley Hanoverian Farm, Ashley backed and brought along many talented young warmbloods. She has competed at major horse shows including Devon, the Young Horse National Championships and recently took 1st Level Champion at the Region 2 Open in Lexington, KY, placed 3rd in the Open Level Championship, and took 6th place in the USDF National Final in the Open 2nd Level.
